Impatient?

Or way too

Complacent?

Or unable to resist

Because our faith is weak?

esterday,

When Jesus rode

Into the city,

The cloaks of those

Who waved and cheered

Were cast upon the street

The donkey trod.Matthew 21:1-8

And yet even though

The Pharisees

Complained,

Jesus

Offered no apologies,

For what the people

Proclaimed.

"Hosanna

To the Son of David!

Blessed is He

Who comes in the name

Of the LORD!

Hosanna

In the highest!"Matthew 21:9

Then He went

Into the Temple

And chased

The moneychangers out

And overturned the seats

Of those who sold doves.Matthew 21:12-13

The lame,

And halt

Were welcomed in instead,

And He healed

Everyone who knew

They needed to be healed,Matthew 21:14

While the hearts of those

Whose minds were filled

With avarice

And greedLuke 11:39-41

Prowled around

The outside,

Waiting for

An opportunity

To pounce.Matthew 21:15-16Matthew 26:1-5

But that

Was yesterday.

Today,

The Lord had something

Rather harsh to say

To a fig tree?
