For this time,
With a simple illustration,
That we all agree is true,
He takes the way
We think of faith,
And how we think
We're supposed to
Strengthen faith,
And made it
Something new.
New?
Or was it just Elijah's
Timeless message,
Dusted off,
And re-introduced?
"But which of you,
Having a servant plowing
Or feeding cattle,
Will say unto him
By and by,
When he is come
From the field,
'Go
And sit down to meat?'
And will not rather
Say unto him,
'Make ready
Wherewith I may sup,
And gird thyself,
And serve me,
Till I have eaten and drunken;
And afterward
Thou shalt eat and drink?' "Luke 17:7-8
"Feed me first!"
The master,
To his servant said.
The master,
To his faithful servant,
Like Elijah
To the hungry widow said.1 Kings 17:10-13
And what did
His servant say?
Did he tell his master
That he couldn't,
Because he had to eat first?
Or that he wouldn't,
Because he needed
To renew his strength first?
No,
He didn't.
And yet isn't this,
